An evening with Poms

mousmeI am doomed to be late for all my dates. Every single time I do something stupid and end up late. Like miss a bus stop I've known about for twelve years.
So I got there half an hour late. Poms was very understanding, and we wandered along St. Laurent until we came across a sushi & dumplings place which turned out to be quite nice. The food was not remarkable, but it was palatable, and Poms spilled his soul about his worries at work and such.
Afterwards we went for a walk on Mount Royal, going by Parc ave. and moseying to Dr. Penfield from there.
It's always nice chatting with Poms. We both seem to have an endless supply of silly pet stories to tell each other, and when that fails it's still nice just to be quiet.
My only complaint is that he's so damned tall. There's just no comfortable way of walking with my arm around him. I get cramps all the way up to my shoulder no matter how I try it. That and he has a considerably longer stride than I do, which makes it very awkward to walk that way. *sigh*
We had dessert at Café Latte, which Poms seemed to enjoy. My carrot cake was okay, but not brilliant.
Gave the doorman another show, which I'm pretty sure gave him more to gossip about during the week. ;)
Am off to bed soon.
