Golden brown and buttered.
Twelve straight hours of taking calls. Dear God. I hope I *never* have to do that again. By the end I could barely say my own name on the phone, never mind do my job properly. It's always a bad sign when the words that come out of your mouth aren't the ones you intended, especially when your job essentially consists only of verbal communication skills.
*sigh*
Work again tomorrow at nine. Then dinner and heart–to–heart with Poms, if I'm still alive by then. Hope I won't be too fried. I might do something silly like burst into tears at an inappropriate moment, as i have a way of doing when overtired.
On the plus side, getting paid time–and–a–half is kinda nice. Can't wait to see what my paycheck for it looks like.
Speaking of which, the new schedules they handed out seem to be written in an obscure dialect of Aramaic. I have no other explanation for why it's so goddamned complicated. Twelve weeks, six weeks, three weeks, rotating schedules, alternating schedules, floater schedules... *has an aneurysm*
Have been using vitamin E ointment, and seems to be working. Hasn't helped the keloid any, but the other smaller scars seem to be fading a bit, and it's only been a week. Am optimistic. With a bit of time I may be ready to go and get that tattoo I've always wanted, if I can screw up the nerve to do it. Trust me not to start small. If I do something, it always has to be 150%. Am still debating it.
Must call SM tomorrow about apartment. Which reminds me, must also organise transport for washer & dryer from Firewillow's mum. Will ask Poms if he wants them, otherwise will hang onto them myself for future use. Currently have no apartment, so nothing useful to do with them. Oh well.
Am heading to bed to crash. The day was long, the night will be short, and tomorrow will likely seem a lot longer.
