Mission semi-accomplished
Feb. 26th, 2002 11:07 pmWell, got part of what I wanted to do done. May well be getting membership at the MAAA, so that's good.
I'm slightly less sore but a whole lot stiffer than this morning. Paintball still rocks.
Saw Gosford Park with BB. It was wonderful. A masterpiece of character acting. Chock-full of talent, and brilliant performances. The always wonderfully understated Emily Watson, Maggie Smith fabulous as crotchety countess.
All-around good movie. Someone did their homework, and what makes it really great is the fact that even though there's a tight plot, the movie isn't about that: it's about the characters and how they interact. No one character is more important than the others (not significantly, anyway), and they all act wonderfully well.
To anyone reading this: the movie rocks. Well worth the 9 bucks at AMC to go see it.
Gotta get up early tomorrow to work on game, fetch subsidy from SSMU (got there 15 minutes too late to get it today *grr*), and generally get stuff done before the Con.
