mousmeAm beginning to enjoy preparing "real" food instead of just KD. Heh. Never thought the day would come. Am making garlic pasta with shrimp: simple to make, yet v. tasty.
My friend AC called today out of the blue. He's coming back from Toronto tonight, but only has time tonight to see me as he's leaving for New York the 26th and everyone is doing family stuff tomorrow and Wednesday.
So he's going to call me when he gets into town, probably around 9-ish so we can go for coffee. I'm actually kind of nervous. I haven't spoken to him in eight months or so, and the last time I actually saw him was over a year ago. I hope we haven't changed so much that we won't click the way we used to. We used to be able to finish each other's sentences.
I know he had changed a lot two summers ago after he started working in Toronto. Suddenly he became a lot more money-focussed and commercial, and I remember having little in common with him, but now that I've joined the working masses as a corporate drone we might have more to talk about now. I think that's good.
I'm looking forward to it in any event.
