I think it's Tuesday.

I went to bed at 8am yesterday, then got awoken by the phone at noon. No problem, think I, I should be up anyway, I have errands to run.

I decided around 2pm that I would read for a while.

I woke up this morning at 7am, book fallen open next to me on the bed. Guess I was tired. Now I am groggy from sleeping too much, and I don't really feel like moving. Except that I know that moving is a good thing. I should go out and run my errands and get some sun, which has been lacking in my life of late.

Sometime this week I need to talk to my supervisor about this schedule, which doesn't make sense, doesn't give me the minimum hours my contract states, and is a general nuisance.

Argh.

On the plus side, I will get to spend more time with my cats this week. They've been feeling neglected. I'll also be able to catch up on stuff that I haven't been able to do since my schedule went all out of whack.

I am, I am sad to say, a creature of habit. Wreck my routine, and nothing gets done anymore. I need the structure in my life, otherwise everything goes to hell.

Ironically, with a week of free time ahead of me, I find that everything is being scheduled on the same days.

Off to get coffee. Maybe that'll make me more coherent. ;)

Stars

I must confess that I don't understand how I can be seeing more stars in the sky these days, when there have been so many smog warnings in the city.

I don't recall seeing stars like this a couple of years ago. I remember seeing stars as a little girl, but as I grew older they faded behind the smog that hung over the city. Now, when I get out of work in the evenings, the stars are back.

I'm not complaining. Just... bewildered.

Also, I miss the Godforsaken Howling Wilderness, and watching gazillions of stars in the night sky.
