Be my flute-guy

It's okay if you don't understand this post. This is Canadian Content at its best. ;)

I was trying to explain to someone the other day that my role in life is to be the straight man. I am not designed to be the center of attention. I make a good foil.

I am the Adam to someone's Bugs Potter. The Boots to their Bruno. The Mike to their Rudy Miller.

In other words, I'm the flute-guy.

And that's okay. The world needs flute-guys. Without flute-guys, the Bugs Potters of the world wouldn't retain their aura of mystery. They'd be caught, arrested, or they just wouldn't shine as brightly.

I just wish that I'd figured that out a long time ago, instead of only recently. I think I'd have been a lot happier with myself. :)

Dude...

I just got fired. As of this afternoon.

There's a freaking pattern in the universe.

Except that I'm still happy about it.

This gives me the whole of next week to pack without freaking out. Yay!

I wish I wasn't driving tonight. I'd be getting really sloshed otherwise,
