Yes, this is Phnee continuing her LJ makeover. ^_-

God, I hate that word so much now.

Anyway... yeah. I was going to post a long entry, but now I realise I have to leave in twenty minutes to go see my meds doc. I guess the long entry will have to wait. So I guess this is a completely gratuitous icon post instead of a mostly gratuitous icon post.

Yay!

Oh, [livejournal.com profile] firewillow, I know you have a CD with pics of my kitties. I'd luurve an icon or two of the kittycats, if you'd be so kind, since you're in icon mode. :)

I almost forgot.

I am declaring amnesty (not that I really need to, but hey) for all those wishing to unfriend me in the New Year.

Now, I'd already decided not to take LJ as seriously anymore, in terms of friending and unfriending. Having someone on your reading list doesn't make them your friend, just as *not* having them on there doesn't *not* make them your friend.

That being said, I also realise not everyone sees it that way.

So, I am declaring amnesty. If you feel that we no longer have anything in common, you don't like my writing style, my entries are too long, too short, too wide, too shallow, too deep, too commonplace, too weird, you don't like my new icons, whatever, you may remove me from your friends list with no qualms.

After all, I just cut my own friends list by a third not too long ago. You can use that as an excuse as well. :)

Hell, you don't even need an excuse. You can just decide not to read my journal anymore.

This is amnesty. It means that when you unfriend me, I won't demand an explanation. I won't even ask for one. You can give me one, should you so desire, but I won't ask.

There you go. :)

****group hug****

:)

Just wandered by a journal of someone I know and was told that not only was it deleted, it had also been *purged.*

Didn't know one could do that. Seems a wee bit drastic for a silly old LiveJournal, but hey. How the hell do you purge a LiveJournal anyway? Read more... )

Eww. I just squicked myself. Going to go put that behind a cut tag because it's gross and really inappropriate. I should prolly delete it, all things considered, but I know y'all are voyeurs anyway so I'm leaving it there for the time being :P

I'll be home soonish. Stopped off at the Parental Units for a bit, will be returning for some New Year's revelry tonight briefly, then heading over to Prospero's Daughter's place for some proper, if quiet revelry afterwards.

Yay!

A New Year's Meme.

In case you're curious, here's what I said last year.

Five things that 2003 taught me:

* No matter how bad things can get, they can always get worse; but the possibility that they can get better is always there as well
* Hope is the strongest force in the world
* The feelings of others are not my responsibility. It is not up to me to make sure that everyone around me is happy and comfortable. I can only do that for myself, and do that which is asked of me within reason only.
* You find and lose friends in the most unlikely places
* You can only learn when you stop fighting yourself (very hard to do in my case *sigh*)

Five personally significant events of 2003:

* Being admitted to the hospital after vomiting blood at work and spending about three weeks trying to pull myself together
* Coming out as a lesbian. Yay me!
* Quitting my job at Bell Mobility *spits*
* Hitting a rock bottom I hadn't suspected was there, then grabbing my pickaxe and giving the bedrock a good going-at before trying to climb out again. I don't know if that's an "event" per se, but it was personally significant, that's for sure
* Traveling to Connecticut with my mother and seeing my uncle for the first time in twenty years

Five things I want to do in 2004:

* Work or volunteer in a women's shelter (this is wishful thinking, we'll see if it happens)
* Find something to be passionate about
* Become completely financially solvent
* Continue learning to draw
* Pick up my music again

Five things I don't want to do in 2004:

* Go crazy again (no, really, I never want to do that ever again: meds are my friends)
* Go bankrupt
* Play at UN Peace Corps between my parents or any other people (cf "Five things that 2003 taught me")
* Let other people's judgment (or even what I perceive to be their judgment) of me dictate what I do with my life
* Read as few books as I did last year *shakes fist at Bell Mobility*

Five people whom I'd like to know better in 2004:

* Prospero's Daughter
* Janik
* [livejournal.com profile] lux80
* [livejournal.com profile] sandman7
* [livejournal.com profile] avren, whom I just met but who seems really cool, as well as her husband. :)

For the purposes of this last list, I only listed people I have contact with in real life, and whom I don't feel I yet know really well. Also, this list only allows five people. Please don't feel left out and abandoned if I didn't mention you. Waah! I almost feel like leaving that part out entirely. It doesn't seem right, because I want to get to know *all* my friends better. ;)
