Yep, sleep is good
Nov. 26th, 2003 11:41 amFeeling much better now. I guess that means my mother was right: things always do look better in the morning. ^_-
Got up reasonably early to finish my drawing homework, which went pretty well, I think. Lots of finicky details, but I think I managed reasonably well with them. (My homework was to reproduce a drawing
karine gave me, which I always think of as "the Egyptian lady" but is really an Elf because of the pointy ears.)
Anyway, my hand is a mess. The problem with having large-surface things like that is that you can't bandage them without looking like a burn victim. :P So, I look like a burn victim. *sigh* Oh well. It's either that or getting it infected, and given that I just got rid of an infection in my finger, I'm not anxious to have my right hand mangled again. It seriously impedes everything I do.
Will be off in about 45 minutes to my drawing class. Looking forward to it. I can't wait to be able to *really* draw what I see. So far, like I said, it's going well. I don't need to be Rembrandt or anything, but it would be nice not to have to resort to stiff symbolic representations of what I want to portray.
Oh, and when I actually know how to draw moderately well, if I think it's good enough I'll use my skills to illustrate the children's book I have floating around in my head. :)
