"Now go home to your mother!"
In other words, I saw Kill Bill: Vol. 1 last night with
fearsclave after we met the NaNoWriMo crowd. The NaNo people are very very cool. I'm looking forward to getting to know the Dread Emily Horner better, as she not only games, she likes the same type of movies as me (and she too seems enthused at the idea of going to Underworld to see Kate Beckinsale in leather).
There were about eleven or twelve of us there, of whom I knew four. Many many jokes were made, anecdotes exchanged, the usual stuff when a large group of geeks convenes anywhere. Was much fun. :)
Dragged the Dread Emily Horner with us to see Kill Bill. Met RC and 'Mu who were coming out of said movie, and chatted with them before heading in ourselves, as we hadn't seen them in a while (except TDEH, who had never met either of them before). Was well worth the $10. Unfortunately we got in very late, thanks to our earlier chit-chat, and we ended up in the front row at the Paramount, which for those of you who don't know it means that we were right at the base of a giant screen, and thus spent the entire movie barely being able to see the top of the screen and seeing everything and everyone slightly deformed because the screen is curved. Nonetheless, it didn't mar my enjoyment of the movie, for once. :)
( Kill Bill stuff ahead, very disjointed, with spoilers )
