*sigh* Small rant about a community

So I joined the lesbian community about ten days ago or so (I think), hoping that there would be some interesting debates or discussions or something about queer issues.

*snort*

Instead all there's been so far is practically unintelligible posts wibbling either about potential girlfriends, current girlfriends, breakups, and ex-girlfriends.

These people not only don't know the concept of paragraphs, capitalisation, punctuation, and basic spelling and grammar, but they also don't seem to think much beyond their sex drive.

It's driving me nuts.

I need to find a better community. Going to remove it now. It sucketh mightily (and not in a good way).

Day started out quite well. Got up, performed usual ablutions, then grabbed my knitting and a few books and went to join miseri for dim sum as previously discussed.

She apparently left a message at twenty to ten, which I just got.

Must refrain from reading too much into this.

After all, I might very well sound impatient after twelve hours' worth of gaming. Or then again, if I'd received three (or was it four?) messages and heard that the same person had stopped by, I'd probably be pretty damned irritated too. After all, that's what (mostly) screwed up my first relationship (other than the fact that I was gay and he wasn't *snerk*), except that it was reversed.

Aie. I'm turning into my worst nightmare.

Oh well. I'll just let things cool down for a while. I'll give Wednesday night (that's their Board Gaming Night) a miss, and see if she still wants to watch Six Feet Under next Sunday. Don't want to crowd her, even if it's for friendship only.

God, things were so much simpler when I was too shy to talk to people at all. At least then I wasn't constantly second-guessing myself and kicking myself every time something came out of my mouth.
