It doesn't feel like Christmas here in Fluorescent-bulb-lit-Grey-Cubicle-Land. Not even the really randomly icky Christmas decorations that are hanging from the fake ceiling are helping.

Still, it's not all bad. Not many calls from irate and demanding clients, there's snow outside (not much, but enough), I'm seeing AC for coffee after work (*crosses fingers*), and then I'll be spending Christmas Eve with the Parental Units.

My mother is home from China. I've left her several messages, but I think she's panicking and doing Christmas shopping right now.

I'm still amazed that there are almost no calls. Yesterday there were nearly four hundred of us online here, and there were over 300 people waiting in the queues. That means that there were over 700 people either being served or waiting to be served for customer service alone. Never mind the activations department, the prepaid department, accounts receivable, and the paging department.

So, yeah. No massive rush today, which is good.

Want to wish everyone happy holidays, because I lurve you all.

Nicked from [livejournal.com profile] griffen:

Five things that 2002 taught me:

* I am a person, and the word "worth" cannot apply to people in a qualitative or quantitative way. Therefore I cannot qualify myself as "worthless" or anyone else as "worthwhile." It doesn't work that way.
* My friends cannot read my mind, and I cannot read theirs.
* I am not responsible for my parents' psychological well-being.
* It is possible to lead an entirely normal existence even with mental illness
* True friends will stick by you through thick and thin

Five personally significant events of 2002:

* My first ever "serious" relationship, which I survived and enjoyed while it lasted.
* Surviving two suicide attempts
* Getting my first real job and moving out of my parents' appartment
* Having my appartment broken into and vandalised
* My grandfather's death

Five things I want to do in 2003:

* Leave customer service
* Go on a trip/retreat/pilgrimage
* Clear my debts
* Play paintball more often
* Become easier to live with

Five things I don't want to do in 2003:

* Kill myself (you may laugh, but it was one of my goals last year)
* Lose any more friends
* Have another "serious" relationship (not in the near future, anyway)
* Lose my job
* Live under a rock like last year

Five people who I'd like to know better in 2003:

* [livejournal.com profile] joane & [livejournal.com profile] shenlo
* [livejournal.com profile] fearsclave
* [livejournal.com profile] sorceror
* [livejournal.com profile] firewillow (I never stop learning stuff about her ^_-)
* [livejournal.com profile] curtana & [livejournal.com profile] forthright

Waaah! There are so many people I want to know better and this list only allows 5!!! I even cheated and counted couples as 1 person. ^_-
