So little to do, so much time... wait, scratch that, reverse it.

Okay. :)

Spent morning arranging furniture in apartment.Place is now starting to look inhabited (inhabitable?). Cats went bonkers over the carpet. The ktten tried to swallow it whole, which didn't work too well, predictably.

Both Feline Units seem perkier, definitely less sick. Georgie has been roaring around the apartment as though the victim of a catnip overdose, even though he hasn't had any yet. Am beginning to think he's actually possessed by a demon of some kind. Exorcism may be in order...

Have asked to leave early today, though likely it won't happen. I want to give the oven another go tonight, but I'll probably be too tired if I get home at ten as usual.

Lines are apparently pretty busy today. Have my work cut out for me. Bleh. Don't really feel like working. Wouldn't mind working longer shifts if it meant working only four days a week instead of five.

Two minutes until login...

*sigh*

Looking forward to meeting Longpig next week. Ought to be fun.

Been working on HP trivia. Is long and not really that interesting, but still a challenge. Ought to be done by sometime next year, if all goes well. ;)

Am rambling. Have noticed alarming and considerable decline in writing skills since I started this job. Must go back to reading several books at once. mental gymnastics are in order, or els emy brain will shrivel up and die like an old prune. Blech.

...

Tired. Wanna go home. Hate Fridays. Hate 'em more than Mondays, even. I'm tired and cranky and damn it, I'm starting another headache. Crap.

*looks at clock*

I can't believe I've only been online for only ten minutes. It already feels like forever.

*sigh*

Okay, back to the grindstone!

Well, sort of. *munches on a Klondike bar*

Am on lunch break.

Am SO not in the mood to work today. Blehness running by the quart through every vein right now. Clients being irritating and dumb, supervisor is OFF UNTIL TUESDAY THE BUGGER!

Grr.

Am working overtime Monday, which actually means ending earlier, as I'll be starting at 9:30am. Six o'clock finish time, then dinner with Poms is the plan.

Have developed unnatural fondness for Klondike bars, which is bad because they have them in liberal supply here. With the onset of summer, this bodes ill for our heroine...

*quiet wail*

I WANNA GO HOOOOOME!

*mope*

I'm looking for a silver lining, in case you were wondering. ;P

I suppose the SL to all this is that I get to post a helluvalot in my LJ.

w00t

I'm pretty sure I finally figured out this goddamned keyboard so I can put in bold and pretty italic stuff now!

Yay!

Boy will I look stupid if that doesn't work.

*g*

*looks at calls in line*

Shall I call it, Doctor?

*sentenciously* "Time of death, 17:57."

Ooh, a call! And a pissy one, at that. *puts irritating client on hold* Hah! *smirk*

More later, as boredom overcomes me again, I suppose. ;)

*warbles cheerfully off-key and freaks out coworkers*

I have been on hold for fifteen minutes. I'm amazed my client hasn't hung up yet. She's tenacious, that's for sure.

Dum de dum de dum...

"Tonight I'll sing my songs again
I'll play the game and pretend
But all my words come back to me
In shades of mediocrity
Like emptiness and harmony
I need someone to comfort me

Homeward bound
I wish I was homeward bound

Home, where my thoughts are straying
Home, where my music's playing
Home, where my love lies waiting silently for me..."

Man, twenty minutes on hold. They screwed up my talk time, the bastards! Damn them. :P

*leans back in chair*

One hour and fifteen minutes left. I somehow don't think they're letting me go home early, blast it. I wanna go home and molest my cats and SLEEP!

"They say that in the army the girls are really fine
You ask for Cinderella -they give you Frankenstein

Oh I don't want no more of army life
Gee, Mom, I wanna go back to Ontario
Gee, Mom, I wanna go home!

They say that in the army the drinks are really fine
You ask for Coca-Cola -they give you turpentine

Oh I don't want no more of army life
Gee, Mom, I wanna go back to Ontario
Gee, Mom, I wanna go home!

They say that in the army the food is really fine
A bun rolled off the table and killed a friend of mine

Oh I don't want no more of army life
Gee, Mom, I wanna go back to Ontario
Gee, Mom, I wanna go home!

They say that in the army the tents are waterproof
You wake up in the morning and you're floating on the roof

Oh I don't want no more of army life
Gee, Mom, I wanna go back to Ontario
Gee, Mom, I wanna go home!"

Hey, anyone else know this song? I hear there are all sorts of variations. I'd love to hear the ones you know. :)
