Ooog...

I am way tired.

Gotta go to work early, as have overtime, then half an hour for lunch, then seeing apartment, then have been drafted into dinner at godparents' house.

Don't know when I'm going to sleep this week at all before Friday. I'm gonna die of exhaustion... Blearg. I won't have the opportunity to go to bed early until maybe next Sunday... Nope, dinner at other godparents'... So Monday, then.

Ooooog again.

RE was fun, as was posting to new HP group, but boy did it fubar my sleep schedule.

Well, at least I'm consistent.

Am home briefly. Then off to do a million more things, then crash ignominiously in bed until morning comes all too soon.

Had lunch with two co-workers, and decided the Parental Units really aren't all that bad.

One of them, the Brainless Romanian Wonder(tm), was beaten so severely by her father that her retina got detached and she will never see properly without laser surgery.

The other is a mother who, despite her pretenses at "not hitting" her children appalled me with her methods of discipline. This involved, when her daughter said "fuck you" to her, pinning her to the floor and filling her mouth with ground pepper.

I ask you, what kind of barbaric behaviour is that?!?!

Blech. People suck. They shouldn't be allowed to have offspring unless they can take care of them properly.

When I told them I'd never been punished by my parents they brushed it off and said if I'd had siblings we'd have been punished anyway and it was only because I was an only child.

Whatever. I was appalled.

I have found the most perfect apartment in the world!

I went to Verdun to see it, and I fell in love.

It's a big, bright, sunny 4 1/2 with high ceilings and parquet flooring. Large windows, TWO balconies, a decent–sized bathroom (although the repairs have yet to be completed), and washer–dryer outlets.

The best part? It's the only building on the street to have LILAC TREES!!!!!!!!!!

Did I mention I love lilacs? We used to have lilac trees outside my house, and there's nothing I've missed quite so much since we moved onto Dr. Penfield.

Plus, I can afford it. :)

Am awaiting the call from the landlord. If all goes well, I move in on the 1st of June.
