Short update on life
Nov. 16th, 2002 06:02 pmWasn't online yesterday after 4:30 pm for the very good reason that I didn't have access to a computer.
Toddled to Nautilus after work for my fitness evaluation, had a sandwich at Subway across the street, then hied myself to
joane's apartment far away on Sherbrooke st. west.
Giggled, chatted, gossiped and generally did very girly things and molested her cat Wumpus until about half past midnight or one, then watched Sailor Moon in Japanese with English subtitles until 4am. O_O It's very addictive. And the original script rocks.
Woke up pleasantly and naturally around quarter to eight by the sound of joane puttering around. I'd asked her to set her alarm because I had to get to Tai Chi for 9am. We had a quiet cup of coffee with Wumpus and the Saturday Gazette for company, chatted a little bit more, and then sadly I had to dash out the door.
I arrived a wee bit late for Tai Chi, but soon got into the warm-up and even remembered most of the movements all by myself. Got taught how to walk, and at the very end the first hand movement which I'm going to have to practise practise practise because it involves your hands moving in opposite directions, for which I've never really had the coordination.
Went to have breakfast with the Parental Units and told them all about Tai Chi. My mother was very pleased to hear I'd "learned how to walk" because she apparently always had a problem with the way I walk. O_o Apparently she's convinced I'm pigeon-toed. Whatever. I let it slide, because I have no idea where that came from. I think she's running out of things about me to criticise.
Left the Parental Units' place and headed back onto Mont Royal to Nautilus (again), this time to be shown the ropes. It went quite smoothly, but while I'd been told it would only take about 45 minutes, it took two and a half hours of working the machines and so forth interspersed with periods of waiting around while the trainer had to go off and deal with administrative crap.
End result? Exhausted!Phnee.
Bought drinkage for home which I was sorely lacking, and am now passed out in front of the computer. Cats glomped me as soon as I stepped through the door, blithely ignoring the fact that I fondled no fewer than TWO strange cats (Wumpus and the gorgeous Siamese that lives in the dojo), one of which was a female in heat.
My cats are strange.
Bath and early bed are in order tonight.
