I know the feeling.

I had to deal with a somewhat stupid patron who wanted to know where the book on Matisse she liked was. The information was A. it hadn't been on the shelf since June, B. had paintings done in or of Morrocco, C. was about the same size as another book on the shelf. No recollection of the title (not that is really the point with art books) or whether the book was in French or English. I tried to explain out that it might be out or in for repairs with little success.
