I'm jumping on the bandwagon, since everyone seems to be getting their asses reasonably into gear, I figure I may as well join in on the collective energy boost.

I have a ton of goals, but I think that some of them are realistic, so I'll put them down here *shudder* in public in the hopes that making them public will actually force me to get up off my unmotivated tush and accomplish them.

1- Body For Life goals (with thanks to [livejournal.com profile] fearsclave for introducing me to this a while back)

* reach my target weight of 145 lbs by Christmas; feasible, though it will take dedication: my last attempt at losing weight was two years ago with Weight Watchers, and I lost 30 lbs in four months (and have since gained it back, naturally).
* rejoin Weight Watchers; am not sure of current weight as I don't own a scale, but I'll bet I'm over the dreaded 200 mark, and the damned program works, as proved by my experience before and the fact that [livejournal.com profile] joane looks absolutely breathtakingly gorgeous these days.

Which reminds me, I need to buy a scale...

2- General Lifestyle Makeover goals (TM Oprah ;) )

* improve physical endurance, flexibility, strength (and appearance in the process).
* get over the goddamned depression, already; well on my way to doing that, using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy to kick all form of my depression's ass into next year and beyond.
* along with the depression, boot the self–injurious behaviour out the window too; again, well on my way to reaching that goal.
* begin going to bed at reasonable hours so that I won't be exhausted and late for work.
* eat nutritious foods at regular intervals (not as easy as it sounded when I first moved out).
* finish setting up my apartment, preferably in Feng Shui approved model (bought myself a compass and The Complete Idiot's Guide to Feng Shui and have already started on it).
* keep my apartment reasonably tidy (including actually taking the garbage out twice a week instead of once because I keep forgetting).

3- Interpersonal relationship–type goals

* be a better girlfriend; frankly, I suck at this relationship stuff; communicating better is a MAJOR goal now.
* keep in touch better with my friends via email, telephone, and letter–writing; with this end in mind: buy a telephone and use it, use the stationary I procured over the weekend.
* be a better friend: don't take so many things personally, listen more (I have two ears and one mouth: it follows I should listen twice as much as I talk), be more present to support them in their endeavours.
* be a better daughter: stop thinking of my parents solely in terms of whether or not what they're saying implies a criticism of me; they're human beings too, and what they say cannot affect me if I don't let it;

4- Miscellaneous, yet still important

* hold fast to my promise to myself to practice my faith properly; keep going to Church on Sundays, and respect the worship and mysteries of my faith as is their due.
* live a more honest and Christian life every day, and not just on Sundays.
* take even better care of my cats.
* buy a car (I really need one for work these days, it's ridiculously long otherwise).
* get a job I actually enjoy (I like my job, but I don't enjoy it).
