Pen thieves and sundry other matters
Jul. 15th, 2002 06:04 pmMy coworker and cubicle neighbour has taken to borrowing my calculator at odd moments. Unfortunately, the last time he did he also knocked my pen to the side, which made writing down all my notes and such rather difficult.
*grumble*
Found my pen just now, thankfully.
In other news, I reached my sales quota for the day. Boy, I love summer. That's when everyone goes off on holidays and wants roaming features. That's two sales per call for that, in case you were wondering. ;)
Have a mild headache, but it's not mind-splittingly painful, and the lines are quiet but not dead, which means I can update my journal and not be bored at the same time.
I also got my "art" supplies back from my parents on Saturday, which is nice. I'm definitely not an artist, but I enjoy keeping my little journal and entering in my little pigeon scratches. It keeps me sane, sort of. Allows me to wallow in my own Angst if I want to.
*pauses to make another sale*
*sigh*
I pretty much want to go home, now. I can't wait until my normal 9 to 5 schedule kicks in. I must admit that the change in scheduling for the prepaid department has made me hesitate about wanting to switch departments so soon. Sure, switching over would mean better pay and the opportunity to advance to a department where I wouldn't have to answer phones all day much quicker, but it would also mean another six months to a year of crappy hours, and I'm not sure I want to put up with that right now.
Dilemma. ;)
I'm not going to worry about it now. I'll discuss it with my team manager tomorrow if we both have time.
Oog.
Hope Firewillow is having an okay time with the Paternal Unit and the Spousal Unit. The PU is notoriously difficult to get along with. I hope to hear from her when she gets home tonight.
Only three more days to payday, and my Bigfoot and other random photos ought to be ready for tomorrow evening. Am enthralled.

They try to compensate for that by giving us lots of benefits and perks but no job security and lots of quotas. ;)
