Owie, but for a good cause

mousmeI got my second vaccine last night, and want to shout out to all the staff and volunteers who were out at 9:00 pm on a Saturday making sure people get immunized. That is above and beyond the call of duty and I am very grateful to them all.
OTOH the second shot basically knocked me out for the day. I don't know if it was a combination of already being tired and getting the vaccine, but today I felt like someone had pulled out my charging cord overnight and left my batteries to drain. I ended up sleeping most of the day, and I'm still tired.
STILL, I am now fully vaccinated and in two weeks' time I will likely be seeing my parents for the first time since Christmas! I got a combination of two different mRNA shots, which some studies suggest will confer better immunity to some of the variants that have emerged, so I am pretty pleased.
Now I am going to go collapse in bed. Good night, friends!
