It's been a while

Friday:
Snoozed until 11:30 or so. Had nice cozy chat with Maternal Unit about new apartment.
Went shopping at Valet with Firewillow. Bought a puzzle (Tamara de Lempicka), and three Deadlands books, dice for Resident Evil and TNC as well as dice bags. Am v. pleased with purchases. Firewillow didn't find the t-shirts she wanted, though.
Went off to find new landlord to sign lease. New landlord gave incorrect directions, had to phone several times to get new directions.
Was attacked by swarm of shadflies. Fended them off with umbrella. Asked bus driver very nicely to tell me when my stop was coming up, to which he helpfully replied (in French): "You'll just have to look out for it —I don't have to tell you."
I managed to find it anyway.
Signed lease with new landlord, who seems nice enough but not altogether reliable. Will have to hound him to get anything done, I think.
Saturday:
Work, work, more work.
My phone started spamming Firewillow with SMS messages. Phoned customer service at Bell Mobility (the irony didn't escape me). I was shocked at how poorly I was served by my own colleagues. Not only did they not follow procedure, but when I lost my signal everything went to Hell in a handbasket.
I called back, only to find that my line had been disconnected, without any of the usual security protocols and without my authorisation. Finally they restored my line, and told me that the initial problem was with Firewillow's server.
Whatever. She told me she disabled SMS for the moment anyway. I suspect it may just be that my dear company has no idea what's going on anyway.
Date with Poms. Saw "The Importance of Being Ernest" which was really very good. We laughed until we cried, and I must say Rupert Everett is always good in Oscar Wilde adaptations, as was Judi Dench.
Date with Poms always more than pleasant. :)
Sunday:
Got up early and headed to Canadian Tire with Paternal Unit where we made a good number of initial purchases for apartment. Much cleaning stuff, including a Swiffer WetJet, which was a present from the Paternal Unit, as well as an ironing board, also a present. The rest I bought myself.
Am returning tomorrow to get stuff that I missed, or didn't have time to buy this morning.
Went to work. Had good day there. Nothing too drastic.
Took Parental Units to see apartment after work. They're enthralled, and we're all v. excited about my moving in over the course of the week.
Getting Randall (mover–type person) to schelp heavy stuff for me on Friday. Otherwise, other stuff is being moved in tomorrow, after I clean up the place a bit.
Well, that's that, I guess. More tomorrow.
