Buffy and Other Good Stuff
May. 22nd, 2002 05:19 amDay rocked yesterday.
Work went well, although day seemed interminably long, since one of our breaks was cancelled due to the number of calls. Made quite a few sales, kept my talk time way low, basically did a really good job.
Went to see Firewillow for dinner and Buffy and Smallville. I haven't had Kraft Dinner in dog's years, so was much fun, alhough she made such an industrial quantity of the stuff that I was unable to finish it.
Buffy was v. cool, although I could have done without the schmalz at the end. Giles coming back as a bit of a Ripper–like figure was v. entertaining, but both Xander and Buffy needed to get their asses whupped, although not by Willow.
*spoilers for season finales of Buffy and Smallville*
Poor Spike. He wanted to be badass, now he's got a soul. Sucks to be him. We figure he'll either go to see Angel to ask how the hell to deal with all the guilt, or else directly go and sleep with Buffy to see if he can get rid of it. Heh.
Smallville v. frustrating, as was cliffhanger. At least Chloe didn't get entirely stood up by Clark. Mucho kewl special effects, though, and watching Lex Luthor begin to turn to the Dark Side was v. entertaining.
*end spoilers*
Got home v. late and started cleaning up a bit in anticipation of tonight's get–together. Have decided that ordering in is the best option, as I won't really have that much time to cook between getting home and arrival of people.
So cleaning up on the menu today as well as getting random snackage for people to munch on and drinkage. Anyone reading this and wishing to bring something more substantial is of course welcome to, but it's not mandatory.
