mousmeOkay, not exactly a placeholder post, but simply a short entry to say that today's longer entry, prompted by t!, is going to be posted tomorrow.
I have no excuse save that it's been very busy here, and that I'm kind of exhausted from having to learn and re-learn most of the emergency dispatching procedures they have here. Some of it is stuff with which I'm familiar, but a lot of it is new, and it is busy here. I anticipate that it will get even busier over the weekend, which is when people will be off work and go out drinking. So, yes. When I haven't been working, I've been sleeping (broken sleep because the hotel is noisy during the day and also because people won't stop calling my damned cell phone, which I can't turn off in case there's an emergency). Even food has taken a back seat to everything, though none of us are starving by any stretch of the imagination.
So bear with me while I try to navigate through all this. I still have every intention of writing all my June prompt posts. For that matter, there are a handful of slots left open, so grab them while they're available!
