Hola folks!

Quick question for my local people. My sight-seeing skills are rusty, and I have a friend visiting from out of town for a few days.

Where are the cool places I can take a fellow geek who likes art & history and interesting places that no one's heard of? I'm talking Montreal's best-kept secrets, here.

Anyone have suggestions?

Bueller? ;)

No best kepr secrets, but interesting:
Bibliotheque National on Maisonneuve @ Berri metro station still has the Manga exibit on.
Quartier Latin is starting to wake up if you want to go and people watch and wander around.
Star Wars Exhibit at the Montreal Science Centre at the Old Port.
Pardon the short list, still not awake. :)
Have fun Phnee!

The McCord museum on Sherbrooke across from McGill - a quirky, modern, Montreal-focussed museum that no-one has ever heard of ;) http://www.mccord-museum.qc.ca/en/

For the geek aspect, there's this awesome geek cafe on Drummond just south of Ste. Catherine called Foonzo. They have a library of board games and card games, pretty much any console system you can imagine, pinball and arcade games, WiFi and best of all it's all free (provided you get something to eat or drink). Coffees, beer, bubble tea, nachos, sandwiches and dumplings (I always get a caramel latte and a brownie, or a beer and the dumplings). They're open late, so it's a good thing for evenings after all the other awesome stuff people have posted about is closed.
