Gretzky, 1993(?)-April 21st, 2011

This morning at 11:45 I took Gretzky to the vet. He administered a tranquilizer and she fell asleep in my arms while I patted her. I held her while he gave her the last shot, and she was gone in seconds. It was quick, quiet and painless, and she went with all her dignity and knowing she was loved.



Needless to say, I'm pretty much a mess.

To borrow what 3fgburner wrote after our George went, Lady Bast, take Gretzky up in Your arms. Restore her to youth and health, and let her play in Your green fields. Give her fun things to chase, and yummy things to eat. Help her to wait patiently until it is time for her to meet her people, coming over the Bridge to be reunited with her.

Ugh, it tears my heart when someone loses a fluffy friend. She was a stately old lady and your love and care got her there. Big hugs, large mugs of tea, and sympathy my friend. You will miss her, but you will also be able to eventually think of her and smile. I hope your other kitties love you up.
