Ow ow ow...

I have hurt my shoulder. Or, more specifically, I have done something to the place where my neck joins my shoulder, and it hurts like a SOB. Advil is barely putting a dent in it.

Naturally, Pan-Pan keeps trying to come and settle on my shoulder every time I sit on the sofa, and I am hard-pressed to figure out which hurts more: having an eighteen-pound cat sit on my shoulder, or trying to move said eighteen-pound cat from my shoulder.

It's been hurting for two or three days now, but today it's freaking excruciating. If it's not better by tomorrow I may bite the bullet and go to a clinic to get some proper anti-inflammatory drugs. Yes, better living through chemistry.

In the meantime, can I just say: ow ow ow frigging OW!

I'm sorry to hear it! OW!

I'm traipsing around with poor Arbor a lot lately, as she shattered her right humerus where it attaches to the shoulder about a month ago and cannot drive. She's still in beaucoup pain.

I can guess how you feel. And I'm sure Pan-Pan means well, but...

Anyway. I'm way fond of naproxen sodium (Aleve) for ouchies such as yours. Hope you find something that works.

Heat.... A heat pad, electric blanket, one of those microwavable things that also freezes, anything warm and preferably dry (to prevent the drips down the back of your neck :-)). I get that ever so often and heat helps.
