Fundraiser: John Scalzi matching donations today for Strange Horizons

So Strange Horizons needs $7,000 by the end of the month, and they haven't made it to half their goal. If you have the spare cash, John Scalzi is offering to match whatever you offer today, August 14th, up to a maximum of $500.

I think it's awesome. Strange Horizons is a great publication by all reports, and worthy of the support.

There are 50+ comments to his entry. If each of those people donated $10, then yeah. But still, every bit helps, right? Even if they hit $1,000 today thanks to Scalzi, they're still not even close to 50% of their goal. Just sayin'.

That was in no way meant to belittle the goal. Heyck - if they get up beyond that $1000 for today, that would be awesome.

I'm really glad he put up the reminder, because I've been meaning to donate and didn't realize the fundraiser was going on right now.
