Unfortunately, the Scots are still here, so no updates for now. I'm having a great time, though, and I'll miss them terribly when they're gone.

I made them their first lobster ever tonight, in a court-bouillon. Very successful lobster, if I do say so myself. Then we had pastries from Le Pain Doré, and tea, and watched three episodes of "Escape to River Cottage" which they thoughtfully burned for me and brought over from the UK.

Life is awesome, and now I must go collapse into bed.

Did they get yarn LEGALLY, you mean. I've seen no mention of pillaging, burning, sheep-stealing, and looting, either. Are they getting soft over in the Auld Country? I am verra suspicious!

Legally, yes. They are law-abiding Glaswegians, and not Highlanders. ;)

...law-abiding Glaswegians...

I nearly spewed coffee on the computer.

Did you read that post where I turned myself in to the Glasgow police for being Scottish and waving knives on the internet?

I remember reading it, but I don't remember what you wrote o_O

Remember, I was married to a Scottish hooligan who referred to himself as a "wee hairy".

I'm also reminded of the two Yanks who had visited Glasgow and were told by a sweet old granny, "You dinna wanna go down there. They'll git ya."

Scotland--part of the island that inhabits England, correct? The keyword here being "island." Island=ocean=lobster, right? Or do they not have lobster in that part of the ocean (fuck, this could be true. I know next to nothing about ocean life. I just know everywhere I go in the US that is near the ocean has lobster and damned good lobster, too. And, oh! The crab legs!)

They have lobster, just not much and it's very very expensive compared to here.
