Oh, look, it's Wednesday...

mousmeGetting up early was a bust.
I am watching X-Files, Season 4. It's suffering from more ups and downs than Seasons 1-3, bizarrely enough. The first three seasons were rough around the edges in terms of effects, but the scripts were always tight. Right now the episode I'm watching is suffering from a pretty mediocre script, which is too bad. Still, I'm enjoying re-discovering the series.
Four days back at work, and it's like I never left. On the plus side, my supervisor greeted me with: "You know, the ten days you were gone felt like an eternity. I kept coming in and wondering, 'Where's [Mousme]?'"
That either means that they really appreciate me, or I spend way too much time there already. Maybe both. ;)
I am having a seriously bad week, headspace-wise. There is no real reason for this, except maybe that I'm overtired and I'm trying to make changes and changes are always hard (for me, at least). Right now I feel a bit like Sisyphus may have done, watching the boulder roll back down the hill after he'd just reached the top. I don't think it's the hard work he minded, so much as the moment when it all disintegrated and he realized it was for naught.
Hmm... that sounded awfully depressing, didn't it? :P I'm working again this weekend, and I'm worried about the garden, whether or not I'll end up having time to plant it, etc. In other words, work is mangling my life again.

Date: 2009-03-04 05:40 pm (UTC)A note about X-Files. I think it peaks around season 5 or 6 IIRC after that is slowly goes downhill.
You can see where they switched writers and moved back to California (at least that's what I heard) as 7 and 8 get progressively worse.
Season 9 sadly, neither J nor I have been able to watch it all.
