I will have to start over this coming weekend. There are no words. None. Only incoherent rage.

Apparently the person who lived here before me kept trying to grow herbs in window boxes. The cat thought it was lovely to have a litterbox out in the sun and the breeze. Like a picnic reverse!

Arg! Evil cats!

(Though I must admit that I'm at least a month off from starting my tomatoes...Peppers, on the other hand, I'll probably start soon. Must check the planting schedule.)

Ouch.

When I still had a cat, I had started several trays of various things, including a dozen or so catnip plants. It was nice and secure out on the sun porch, safe from the cats... 'til someone left the sliding door open.

Whoops.

I came home to a cat completely passed out in the middle of the living room floor, and remnants of most of my plants strewn around the sun porch.

I laughed more than I cried, because she was sooooo stoned.

That's my concern with any plants at my house.

I have an aloe plant that a neighbour gave me. Even that, with its spikey leaves, has to be out of reach of the cat. He pierced it in several places when it was where he could reach it.

Um . . . I've heard tell that tomato plants are toxic for cats.

Hate to rain on your thunderstorm, but you might keep a close eye on them for the next little while.

Oh, they're fine, the little buggers. The plants were seedlings, barely an inch high, and mostly the cats just chewed and stomped on them rather than actually eating them.
