7:00 musings

I need to get the cat pans cleaned out before the garbage truck passes by in about 20 minutes. Can we tell how much I feel like doing that right now?
:::ETA:::
Never mind, I just went and did it. Took the proverbial bull by the horns, as it were. The cats will likely not thank me (they never do, the ingrates), but it needed doing.
I am cleaning up before
tcaptain gets here. It won't be perfect by any stretch of the imagination, but as long as it's relatively presentable I'll call it a win.
There was a bit of a mishap in the fridge that I hadn't noticed earlier. It turns out that if you thaw meat that has been wrapped in nothing but paper, it leaks blood and juices all over the place. Who knew? /sarcasm Yeah, so if I'd been paying more attention, I would have remembered that. So the kitchen is a bit of a mess, but luckily I was at least intelligent enough to stick the meat in a drawer in the fridge, so the disaster was contained.
I very quickly stuck the ground meat in a pan and cooked it (if I had bought potatoes yesterday the way I was supposed to, I could make cottage pie, but did I buy potatoes? Noooo.), and quickly whipped up a batch of stew with the cubed beef, which is now simmering in the crock pot.
tcaptain is due at 10:00, so that gives me a little under two and a half hours to shower, get dressed, put away my laundry, tidy the kitchen and bathroom, and generally have things organized for when he gets here. Yeesh. That's not nearly as much time as I would like. Oh well.
Off I go!
