Ahem.

Thank you, dear friends, for the reality check.

So, note to self: work less freaking overtime.

I'm giving myself until Christmas. Until then, there are bills to pay, and we're severely short-staffed. After that, we'll have at least one more person on the phones, and one of the people on long-term sick leave should be back.

No death march for Phnee. I am going to be a responsible adult, and live within my means (not that I'm not doing that now, but I mean doing it more consciously). It's not like I make no money, even without the overtime. In fact, I'm not completely sure that I don't end up spending more money when I work overtime because I eat out more and don't have the time to cook from scratch.

So, yeah. I have decided that I like having a life outside of work. I love my job, but I don't love it enough to kill myself for it. They survived without me before, they can surely do it again.

Awesome hats and scarves, I believe!

And I'm glad to hear it re: scaling down on the overtime. I don't want to see you becoming one of the ones on long-term sick leave because you gave away all your spoons. {hugs}

Re baldness: You get used to it, although your hair will probably grow back before that process is complete. In the meantime, having a warm and comfy hat handy is probably a good idea.

You'll note, you've never seen me without a hat, have you?

Yup. Hats. Head scarves. Thats how I did it a couple years back too. I pretty much kept my head covered at all times for the first 2 months...and uhm. Take some vitamins and protect yourself - the cold head thing? It summons colds. A lot.

I'm a heater so I kinda like having a cool head.

However, if a cool head does not suit, I will chime in with "hat".

My bald uncle even wears a toque with earflaps and chin-strings to bed to keep warm. :) It had a pompom on it but he took the pompom off.
