Slowly but surely...

After the initial headlong rush, donation speed is starting to wane. I was expecting this, since all those who wanted enthusiastically to donate have done so by now.

Now begins the "hard" work, and I am pleased to see that I am much further ahead than I thought I would be at this juncture. I thought that I would easily hit $500 and then have to work for every penny subsequently. It seems I vastly underestimated my friends and family, who have been breathtakingly generous ever since I started this fundraising campaign.

Now I have only a little over $700 to raise in order to meet my October 31st goal. That's less than $23 a day, which I think is eminently doable.

On Friday I will be at the front entrance of the RCMP, harassing the officers in person. I'm hoping that that will yield good results. :)

Someone is raising money at my workplace already, so you may need a new home for the tin you gave me.

No worries. Keep the can, and give the proceeds to the person at your workplace raising money. It's all going to the same place, after all. :)
