Well, mission semi-accomplished. Alvin asked Shannon to marry him. Everyone is duly traumatised.

In other news, Voltaire is (surprise, surprise) in love with Shannon, which is why he's been screeching so much about her relationship with Alvin. However, he's agreed to try not to hate Alvin, and Shannon in return promised to help him out as much as she could, feeling that he'd been dealt a pretty difficult hand in this new life.

Poor Alvin. What kind of life must he have lead in order to try to solve the vast majority of his problems with violence? From an outside point of view, though, his kidnapping Eduardo and trying to ship him off to military school without consulting Stefano was hilarious. Poor Stefano, man. This is the last thing he needs.

*lol*

I had a lot of fun tonight. Curtana wasn't feeling very well, though. I hope it's just a combination of lack of sleep and standing in the wet snow forever, and that a night of sleep will help. Consequently, I think Nick got a bit less screen time than he would have otherwise, especially with Svetlana gone.

The hospital scenes were amusing. I got to play up the neurotic, pathetic side of Shannon that she tries not to let show on a daily basis. Hey, she had the equivalent of a stroke and was all confused and disoriented and in pain, so I milked it for all it was worth. :)

Once again, I stayed far too late. Damn my GMs for making their plots so interesting! Curse them all! Ahem.

Back to work tomorrow. Been listening on calls in the calling centre, and it's been very informative. Got to see all the theory being put into practice, and learned some of the tricks of the trade in the process. Kind of hit a saturation point today, though. Suddenly the information stopped processing. Too many different screens to learn in too short an amount of time. I think I figured it out by the end, though.

Turns out I didn't do as well on the evaluation as I thought I did, or more to the point the stuff I knew I got wrong was weighted more heavily than I'd anticipated. Still, I passed, and I know what I did wrong and how to fix it, so there's no real problem. In fact, I'm kind of glad I made the mistakes now rather than during my actual work, when a mistake like that could have more serious long–term repercussions. At least now I'll have that stuff etched into my memory.

Had a nice but short chat with both parents tonight. My mother went out to the movies with her friend Michaela, which always puts her in a good mood, so that was nice. Talked to my father a bit about cognitive therapy, and he was very open to it and was supportive of me getting all enthused about this.

So all in all a very good day, even though I'm exhausted now. Off to bed.
