Agents and surges and snakes, oh my!
Mar. 13th, 2002 11:13 pmWow, was Incarnate action-packed tonight! We rock. :)
Nick sank deeper into depression, then took Tuck out to shoot a deer. Turns out his protégé is an Incarnate too, and an Acadian to boot.
Voltaire is moping about his first love, about whom he wrote a soppy poem. Apparently there's a chastity belt involved somewhere. I'm amused.
Alvin bought Shannon a car. A green one. I am *so* getting him down the aisle before the end of April, when the campaign will end. Heh heh heh...
Stefano keeps getting into deeper and deeper trouble with his weird convoluted spy games. I've ceased trying to understand what goes through that guy's head on a regular basis. It just makes no sense most of the time. On the minus side, Alvin seemed all too ready to kill a little boy just to make Stefano's life easier. *sigh* Stupid Shannon. Falling for a murderous psychopath who buys her cars.
Nick had a breakthrough with Allan Teasdale, about his past life, and his more recent past. He may yet be saved. Woohoo! Who'da thunk it'd be Allan Teasdale doing the rescuing? Oh well... the Cycle works in mysterious ways...
Highlight of the whole evening was of course the last half hour. The stupid ouroboran agents (or tweedle dum and tweedle dee) Wendell and Andrea came to take George Elgin -long story- away, and combat ensued for the first time in our campaign.
Of course, Shannon had a surge right before that, so she didn't get to participate. On the plus side Alvin freaked out massively when he thought she was dead, effectively keeping him out of the action too. Nick shot Wendell who was waving his gun around like the dimwit that he is, and the crisis was thus more or less stopped in its tracks. Andrea prudently made like a banana and split, leaving her partner to the wolves, as he deserved for being such a dumbass.
Heh heh heh... the surge was fun. I'd always been curious how that would work, and now I know. Wonder how we'll deal with the rest of it next week.
In other news, work proceeds apace. My stupid email has been all wonky, although I managed to copy the PBeM posts from my Yahoo account, and will likely be going through them all in detail tomorrow and posting the new scenes. Either that or my players will burn me at the stake. ICQ has wigged out as well, thus ensuring I can't communicate with my players other than by phone, which I haven't done yet.
Will be phoning Firewillow tomorrow to confirm dinner, however. I want to make sure she's alive and well and not dying from stomach ulcers or whatever was ailing her on Monday.
Got home much later than I intended, mostly due to combat which went twenty minutes over schedule, which means I'll be exhausted tomorrow, but I wanted to get all my thoughts down while they were still fresh.

What about me?
I am hurt! After all the trouble I go to to get Shannon a doctor! And if I hadn't been shouting, Nick, he wouldn't have shot nobody -- no fun for all of us!
Nu, vot. Takaya zhizn.
