mousmeI think I could get used to this nine-to-five business.
Today's training went significantly better than yesterday. Suddenly I wasn't the most incompetent person in the room, I actually figured out the system for the most part, and I actually found some interesting people to talk to, as opposed to the brainless wonder with whom I shared the bus ride home yesterday.
Poms is being definitely silly about Friday's date. If this keeps up, we'll end up standing on a street corner together and not going anywhere. Not that standing on a street corner can't be pleasant if you're in the right company. ;) Looks like I'll have to start being more assertive in the decision-making. It's sweet, though. He keeps quoting Shakespeare at me.

Have to think of a good movie to see. Maybe the Royal Tennenbaums. Heard it rocks. Speaking of which, must go kick RDE's behind for insisting I see Black Hawk Down. That movie was definitely something I could have done without. A war movie without a plot. Bullets punctuated by explosions. Bullets - explosion - bullets - explosion - bullets - gore - bullets. That's basically the plot. Oh, and manly screaming. Must beat RDE's head in with his paintball marker for that.
On the plus side, my worst fears have been allayed. Orlando Bloom is still pretty without the wig and the green tights. Woohoo! ;)
Deb has asked me to become a monitor–in–training for the BUS board. I'm honoured, of course, and really pretty pleased, but I'm vaguely worried that the one place I can *really* go to vent will end up being another place where I have to be "responsible." Well, I'll try to work it out, in any event.
Going to bed early again tonight. Incarnate tomorrow, which means I'll be getting home late, and that means I need as much sleep as I can muster tonight.
