I'm back!

Good Lord, when did it suddenly become summer over here? When I left we were still in the single digits in the evenings in terms of temperature, and now it's suddenly thirty degrees!

I am tired, and have a headache. I suspect dehydration, although I think I drank sixteen gallons of orange juice in the plane.

I am trying not to succumb to apathy/tiredness, and get myself unpacked and going a bit. I have a lot of stuff to do tomorrow, my last day before going back to work. I think my plan to re-cap my entire vacation today was a little optimistic, but I may try for a one-day-at-a-time approach during the week, starting tomorrow, complete with pictures.

I'm sure there was more, but my brain has apparently shut down.

I hate that sort of low feeling of coming home after a really good trip - I hope it passes quickly, but I am looking forward to our pics and reading more about Paris :)

Okay, so that's 86F, poor Canadian baby!!

Here in Virginia, I got up at 5:30 this morning and it was already so vile I told Savant to leave town without doing any of the yard work.

I'm not lyin'. There was a cloud on the ground; I'd call it heavy fog, but it had more substance than that, like a wet washcloth, and it was at least 30C already then. It was disgusssting.

Heat index was 105F, umm, let's see... 40.55C... at full daylight, after the sun had expanded the air enough so that the fog was no longer opaque, just a giveaway haze in the air.

Gross!

So glad the power company repaired our line Friday afternoon!
