So very bored...
Aug. 31st, 2007 10:35 pmTwenty-five minutes more to go, and I am sneaking online because I am B-O-R-E-D out of my mind.
I'm running a track on a large piece of machinery, and the damned boomerang keeps going down like a two-bit whore. Otherwise, there's SFA to do around here.
Tomorrow is going to be a busy day, however, so I suppose I should be grateful for the quiet tonight. I'd much rather be grateful *and* at home, but one can't have everything.
...
Damn. My boom just dropped. Back to the grindstone.

It only works if I don't want to be busy and someone else says it. Then I get slammed. Seriously, once I went in early for overtime and the woman I relieved said, "It's been really quiet today." During the next 12 hours, I got 5 of the 10 armed robberies we had that day (and that was the majority of the ones on my shift. I got all the ones on day shift and there were only about 2 or so on midnight shift. So, yeah, of the 6 on my own shift, I got 5 of them.)
Of course, that was also during the Christmas season and before the Armed Robbery Task Force. We get fewer armed robberies outside of Christmas and even those are fewer now due to the task force.
