I'll be in the next room, hugging my cats.

Be sure to test their undead status first!

After all, you wouldn't want a zombie-cat to eat your brains! Look what happened to poor [livejournal.com profile] fearsclave a couple of entries ago!

The poeple I am staying with have cats. They have a skinny kind of surly smart one, and a fat, silly dumb one,a dn... I showed Dina Two Lumps and she's been reading it at work for the past two days straight. *and* they are fostering a mom and kitten (both orange tabbys). The kitties make me feel better, because of all my travel hell lately. Oh, I should be on a plane right now.... But at least when I got back here there was a kitten, right?

This morning on my way to the track for PT, I heard a kitten meowing to high heaven. I, of course, went in search, even though I knew that it was probably feral and there would be nothing I could do. I finally found it under some tank (that looked like a propane tank but was behind the latrine so was probably a hot water tank.) Anyway, I wasn't sure if the kitten was stuck or not, so I thought I would see if I could free him. Well, when I reached toward his front, he hissed and spit. So, I went around and when I touched his tail, he hissed and spit again, but he also moved so I realized he wasn't stuck so I went away, figuring there was no reason to get myself scratched and bitten if he wasn't stuck. After PT was over and I walked by again, I no longer heard him, so I guess he left.

Anyway, it made think of you.

I don't know whether to be flattered or appalled that a hissing, biting, scratching kitten made you think of me. ;)

How much longer is this tour supposed to last for you? I'm looking forward to trying to see you again. On that mythical day when I get time off from work that's paid.

Well, my brains are still intact, so I guess we're safe. :)

Kittens make everything better.

Actually, I wasn't paying attention and thought this post was by a friend who regularly tames feral cats. Hissing, biting, scratching kittens do not regularly remind me of you. hehe

Well, I've heard, "We want to get you guys on a plane to home by the 5th" and "We want to get you guys home by Thanksgiving." I'm rooting for the Thanksgiving timeline. I'm looking forward to seeing you, too. You know it's already been a year since I was there? It doesn't seem like it, but at the same time it seems like too long ago.

I miss the CFC's!
