My instincts are telling me to go one way with my life, and my intellect is telling me to go another way. My instincts are pulling really strongly in one direction, while my intellect tells me that I'm crazy,

Generally speaking, when I'm stable, my instincts have never let me down.

I've learned the hard way to trust my instincts and assume if my intellect doesn't agree that my intellect is wrong. Pain is a really good teacher.

...but I do understand "intuition." Personally, I think intuition makes an excellent early warning system, a wonderfully creative force, and a means for flash-assembling a collection of data into insights, but I wouldn't want to attempt to use it as a decision evaluation function. That's not it's job. I listen to my intuition, but it's the thinking part that makes the decisions. Good premises to you. You sound as if there is quite a lot on your mind. I hope you can work through it without too much stress.

Intellect said MBA for me, and instinct said Halifax. I'm not usually one for instinct over intellect, but it's working out pretty well so far.
