Abi isn't coming after all. The person who was giving her a ride changed their mind at the last minute, and her own car has a gas leak which means no driving.

I'm glad she's not taking the Accident Waiting to Happen that is her car, but I'm still a bit disappointed. Then again, she *is* coming at the beginning of July, which isn't *that* far away.

I will console myself with a phone call on Sunday. After all, I have a nifty new phone plan to do precisely that!

I'm doing better than yesterday (got some stuff resolved that was kind of hanging over my head), in spite of not getting much sleep as I was up until 3am cleaning my apartment.

God, my place was a mess! :P

sorry to hear about the aborted plans...

as for Chapters, i've been assured that i can't do recommendations between stores (or so my manager says). another manager says that it IS possible, but he doesn't know how to do it. *glares at the lot of them* in short, i think you'd better just apply. we ARE hiring right now (that's the good news) and considering your near-obsession with books, i think you're likely to make the interview cut... =) good luck!
