So here's what I was referring to in my earlier entry. :)

Today I am going to continue on my Crusade for Cleanliness!™

First off, I'm going to go attack my bed with a roll of packing tape in one of my efforts to win the War Against Cat Hair. The sheets and whatnot are going in the wash today or tomorrow, so I need to get rid of the excess cat hair so it doesn't clog the piping.

My laundry is a perpetual problem for me for two reasons:

1- I have no dryer, which means that laundry has to drip-dry.

2- I have three (formerly two) cats, which makes stretching laundry out in accessible places to dry a major no-no.

So I tend to let my laundry situation get out of hand before I ever actually do anything about it, which is definitely not constructive.

So I have come to the conclusion that from now on I will wash at least one large item a day, or a whole bunch of small items, and leave it (or them) to dry overnight and while I'm at work.

Then, when I get home I iron the dry stuff and put it away, and put another item in the wash while I do that. That way I should probably keep on top of things, even if it means many small washes instead of one large one.

Hey, it could work!

I'm also going to brush my cats to within an inch of their lives, and try to coax my vacuum back to life (the cat hair conquered it a while back and clogged it).

George especially was shedding like mad a few weeks ago, although the vet told me it was a natural reaction to the stress of his operation. He seems to be shedding a lot less now that the stress is over and now that I've switched to Iams, so I'm hopeful.

The cats still need to be brushed, though. Luckily they all seem to enjoy it (some more than others).

I am pondering giving the bathtub a once-over as well, since it's not actually dirty but could probably use a going-over with Vim and some hot water. This way I stay on top of the game, sort of.

Bleh. Too much cleaning to do.
