Days off rock, yes they do. Especially days off from my work. Have I mentioned lately how much I'm coming to loathe my job? Heh. Am in a disturbingly good mood because of the lack of workage today. The worst part is that I enjoy working, and I enjoy working hard, but I hate thankless work, which is what I do.
Yep, it's a thankless job I have, no matter how hard the people at Bell Mobility try to motivate us by telling us how we're the backbone of the company and all that crap. The occasional popsicle and movie pass does not make up for forty-hour weeks of being bitched at by clients. Not even close.
Otherwise, I had a good day. Was awoken at 11:30 by the phone. It turned out to be my mother asking if I was coming to breakfast. So I hauled myself out of bed, tried to catch up on LJ, discovering in the process that after nearly 24 hours of silence everyone and their cousin had updated at least once if not multiple times. I seem to spend my entire days wishing for people to update so I can read the entries at work in-between calls, but everyone always ends up writing just before I start lacking time to read. Oh, the unbearable agony of it all! *strikes melodramatic pose*
*realises no one cares, including herself, and so stops*
Had breakfast with the maternal unit, held her hand for various reasons, then scarpered off to have a short Bubble Tea Break with
firewillow, which was utterly pleasant, although the poor thing is still having massive issues with her own Parental Units. *growls at
firewillow's absent Parental Units*
Wandered off to Mélange Magique where I met up with 'Mu. She coaxed me to Omer Deserres with her, where I bought some more Sculpey in the hopes of recreating the project that the FFEs ate the last time around. This time I'll be putting it high on a shelf they can't reach without a lot of effort in the hopes that this will discourage them. I also finally caved and bought Scott Cunningham's "Wicca" as a reference (because I know that one day I'll need to look through it and won't find it anywhere: it's my own logic, but it works).
Now I need to avoid spending money until Friday, when I get paid. That's really quite doable, as I won't be going anywhere at all until Saturday. Which reminds me , I need to find something to bring to
joane's Valentine's Day Detox potluck-thingie. *ponder*
Also need to phone my friend VL and see if I can arrange some kind of dinner thing Sunday evening with her. We keep trying to get together, but our lives combined with my Idiotic Work Schedule™ keep getting in the way of that. *grr*

Re: Cryptic Waffling
If it is any help at all, Epiphany told me to tell you that you should just throw caution to the wind and go for it...
(Thinks he may have an idea of what you are talking about but will keep his mouth shut to not make a fool out of himself and get expelled from your life forever...)
I will just wait to find out like everyone else and wait for you with open arms in case you need a hug or two :))))

Date: 2003-02-13 08:34 pm (UTC)It takes a *lot* to be expelled from my life forever. In fact, most of the people on this LJ by now know exactly what it takes. And voicing an opinion that I may not agree with falls nowhere near that category. :)
*hugs*
