Holy Hannah...

Did I say out loud I wanted the weekend to be quiet? I think I must have, because the universe decided that, no, what I really needed was a bunch of learning opportunities. It then proceeded to throw a whole entire day of problems in my direction.

Let's recall that I am on my own now for nights and weekends, with very little back-up. Luckily my boss is very understanding about my calling him on his Blackberry when I'm truly stuck.

I've been trying to get one Top Super Duper Maxi Ultra Extreme Secret Message sent out to A Very Faraway Place That Shall Not Be Disclosed since about 6:00 this morning. It's now 15:15 and I am no closer to having that message get to where it needs to go than I was nine hours ago. I have done everything humanly possible to contact all the correct people about this, and the ball is now squarely in their court. I am extremely frustrated by this.

More frustrating is that about half the systems have gone tits up since I got here. I am told that Mercury has been retrograde since Thursday, and I am not surprised.

I can only hope tomorrow will be less of a clusterfuck.
