That was nice...

Slept for 13 hours. Apparently I'm not quite as used to the new work schedule as I thought. Since it's obvious I needed it, I didn't fight the early bedtime this week at all. I think I was in bed early on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, and by early I mean 19:00 and earlier. Thursday I spent having dinner at the Parental Units' place, and the Maternal Unit made magret de canard, which was delicious.

Now I have to figure out what I want for breakfast. I have no idea how long the eggs have been in my fridge, but if they don't smell of sulfur when I crack 'em open, I guess it'll be okay. I'm thinking omelette, or maybe scrambled eggs. I wish I had bacon, but I guess you can't win 'em all. I have plenty of tasty food that I can use in here.

I'm working night shift this weekend, and evening shift next week, which means an uncomfortable Monday: I'll be finishing work at 06:30 and resuming work at 14:30, which translates to Very Little Sleep for Phnee on that day. The plan today is to spend most of it doing Nothing At All. I might putter, do a bit of cooking, and I have a bit of grocery shopping to do, but nothing major. I won't be sleeping today (see above: thirteen hours of sleep), but I shall take it easy so as not to be a basket case tomorrow.

Busy busy busy

Just got off the phone with luvenditti, whom I haven't seen in far too long. Did some catching up, and general chatting. What with the new uber-busy schedule at work, I haven't been able to see my friends nearly as much as I'd like. So, I take what I can get, when I can get it.

Spent part of today doing grocery shopping, part of it with the Parental Units who gave me coffee (mmm... coffee). Then I came back, watched some CSI: Miami, and made muffins and couscous for dinner. The couscous is for dinner, I should say —the muffins are for later. I've got a couple of light snacks lined up, since I don't really get to eat much during the day while I'm on night shift, but don't enjoy eating heavy meals late at night/early in the morning.

Now I have a shower to take, and work to get to. Good night, all!
