Back from the Godforsaken Howling Wilderness

Spent a lovely weekend with fearsclave & co. in the GFHW. Did absolutely nothing but hang around, talk, and watch survivalist pr0n. Oh, and I read a trashy romance novel I found lying around. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, but it wasn't all that good.

Spent most of Saturday hanging out with fearsclave, the Wuh-Mun, and ulvain, petting the cats and Jack, and taking pictures. When I have time I shall crop, resize and load them. Just not right now.

We were joined on Sunday by A & N who don't have LJs, as well as conscioussoul and dizietsma, and spent more time hanging out, watching survivalist pr0n, and playing a board game involving the knights of the round table. fearsclave ended up being the traitor in the game, and would have won, had he not cackled maniacally and given himself away a little too early. There was much mocking.

We ate far too much food, as we usually do.

I also got to see looking4wings, which was great, and I think I may have convinced wultabat to finally post in his LJ. Watch that space for interesting entries about ham radio, as he's been engaging obsessively in the hobby since he was a boy. Fascinating stuff.

It was nice to be able to spend an entire weekend without worrying about obligations or getting to places on time for once. I miss being able to do that on a regular basis. I've been remarkably overtired of late, and the opportunity to just recuperate was very much appreciated. There's never any stress or pressure in the GFHW, which is fantastic for me. It's the one place I go and know that I don't have to worry about being a "good guest" and keeping up polite conversation because it's the expected thing.

So, yeah. A very good time. :)

Now I am off to visit the maternal unit.
