What part of "pick-up only" was unclear to you?

Okay, this is just a pet peeve, so bear with me.

People who don't listen to/read their messages properly, and who then ask stupid questions to which they'd have the answer if only they'd paid attention to begin with.

And so, Dear Person Who Answered My Freecycle Post: no, I will not cart my heavy stuff all the way to the metro for you. That's why I said "pick-up only" in my original post. I was very specific. In fact, my words were:"You must arrange your own transportation in all cases, and bear in mind that most of these items are bulky."

I dunno about you, but to me that seems pretty straightforward.

So, no Stuff for you. Other people emailed before you, and they bothered to read all the way to the end of my message.

Also, you misspelled "items." I can't possibly allow anyone who can't use a spellchecker anywhere near my home, lest you contaminate it with your illiteracy. :P

Dear Illiterate Twit™,

The best way to piss me off after I've emailed you politely telling you that A) the items have been promised to the first responders, and B) that on the off-chance that hell freezes over and everyone in front of you is a no-show, then I might consider letting you come get them, is to email me asking me how many people are on the list and then insisting that I meet you at the metro with the stuff, possibly making me make several trips.

Uh, no.

There was this bit about "pick-up only," remember? I repeated this twice. Clearly you're not completely illiterate, only selectively so.

So, I'm through being polite with you. You're not getting any of the stuff. Period.
