I am The Hierophant

The Hierophant often represents learning with experts or knowledgeable teachers. This card also stands for institutions and their values. The Hierophant is a symbol of the need to conform to rules or fixed situations. His appearance in a reading can show that you are struggling with a force that is not innovative, free-spirited or individual. Groups can be enriching or stifling, depending on circumstances. Sometimes we need to follow a program or embrace tradition, other times, we need to trust ourselves.

I have a gmail account now.

I can't really guarantee that it'll become the account I use the most, as I've had to get Firefox to use it, and that's not my default browser, etc. Insert all sorts of techie explanations here. :)

The address is phnee01@gmail.com

I was going to use "phnee" but the address had to be at least six characters long, and phnee1 just looked weird to me. ;)

So, there you go. And many thanks to [livejournal.com profile] strikemyfancy for the invite! :)

Yeah, I know I haven't been updating much. Well, that's not true. I made an effort last week to talk about my new job, so that's not so bad, I guess.

It's still there. The job, I mean.

I'm worried that I may be coming apart at the seams, but hey, that's another kettle of fish. I think it's because I'm just not used to having an actual nine-to-five job anymore. Well, more like a seven-thirty-to-four-thirty job, but you know what I mean.

*dies*

I want to keep this job. I cannot, absolutely cannot become a basket case and fall apart. I have to keep it together long enough to get used to it, and then I'll be okay. I've held down a job before, one which was a lot more stressful than this one.

I think things'll improve once I get paid. I hope they improve.

It just feels like everything's changing all at the same time, for some reason. There are lots of different things happening right now, many of which I don't feel especially comfortably writing down here.

I suppose it'll all work itself out eventually. Just right now everything is a little jumbled up in my head and more than a little confusing. Besides, now that I'm working full-time, I don't have as much time to think things over and sort them out as I used to. It makes a hell of a difference. :P

I just realized today that Bigfoot is on the same day as my good friend Christine's 40th birthday party.

:::faceplant:::

Now... this isn't the end of the world. I can still go to Bigfoot. It just means I'll have to leave right after the big game and not go to the traditional barbecue afterward. It'll suck, but Christine is only going to turn 40 once, and Bigfoot will be there next year.

I'll certainly miss getting up early the next morning and having our traditional breakfast all together. I might see if I can come back up the next day, though, to see April, because I haven't seen her in a year or so.

The timing sucks. It really does.

Okay, back to my flag-making lesson, courtesy [livejournal.com profile] joane, who's being an angel both of mercy and patience with me. :D
