Birthdays! Yay!
Feb. 6th, 2004 11:52 amHappy Birthday
blackbuffet!
*nances*
*happy dance*
Many happy returns, darling! :)
On a related note, I've lost the URL for the LJ birthday page. Could someone point me in the right direction? I will be eternally grateful. :)

... and then stuff gets in the way.
I'M BACK!
Cleo is fixed! She is better than ever, except for a slight problem with the clasp which means that she doesn't close as well as before.
It took me four hours to get her running, but I got her up and going, and I'm very pleased. The twits who did the reinstall apparently had their thumbs up their asses so I had to reinstall all the software *sigh* but I got some of my translation work saved at least.
All my roleplaying stuff, all my icons, all my images, all my fiction, all my poetry, is toast.
But, Cleo is intact. She has a new hardrive and a new keyboard. They were able to fix her screen and you really can't tell that it was ever damaged. :)
I spent an hour on the phone with the Sympatico people this morning hooking everything back up, and I'm now online. Two hours later, and I have all my instant messengers working again. *bounce*
Soon I will go and find my LiveJournal client (as soon as I remember what it was called... it had an icon with a pencil and a pen... *scratches head*) and download it. Yay!
The cats are all far away from Cleo. They will never come near her again if I can help it. *growl*
In conclusion: I'M BACK!!!!
*does cartwheels*

Don't mind me while I cry
Feb. 6th, 2004 04:59 pmSo much for that.
I can't believe I dropped the ball like this, but it's just like me to do something completely brainless and stupid and ruin what was probably going to be one of the most fun events of my summer.
What with my computer getting mangled, and running around trying to get it fixed and worrying about getting a job, I completely forgot to sign up for Bigfoot, and now there's no room left on Japan's team. So if I go I'd have to play against
fearsclave and everyone else, and that would suck.
Fuck.
I'm going to go to bed and feel sorry for myself and cry now.

By way of an explanation...
Feb. 6th, 2004 05:08 pmFor every good thing that happens to Phnee, three bad things have to happen to countermeasure it.
So, this is how it goes: My computer gets fixed, so my car gets towed, I get the flu and I'm reminded (too late) that I should have signed up for Bigfoot, but through my own stupidity and oversight the fun summer even I was looking forward to will take place without me.
Yes, I'm sulking. Sue me.

I TAKE IT BACK!!!!!!

Yes, he does.
Whee!
:::squees and nances and twirls and makes a spectacle of herself:::
Okay, clearly I haven't had enough sleep, because I'm up and down like a yo-yo on crack.
But EEEEEEEEEEEE!
:::hugs

I'M GOING TO BIGFOOT!!!!!!
EEEEEEE!!!!!!
... and thus I am spamming you all to death. I expect I shall soon calm down and post only my regular two to three posts a day instead of the sixteen billion I've already posted today.
Whee! Posts!
This post actually has a point, though. See, I woke up the other day having had an odd dream in which someone on my friends list, I don't remember who, asked me to write an Arwen/Eowyn ficlet.
I think it came about after I stumbled across this little community called
the_doomed_ship which is essentially about, well, doomed ships. Like Boromir/Faramir, which seems to be their favourite, because it combines incest and death, thus doubly condemning the ship.
Anyhoo, it would involve re-reading the books (Oh no! I could never do that! Woe and Angst!), and then maybe seeing how I feel about it. I've only ever written one ficlet and that was a Harry Potter one, which is now lost. Hm, I wonder if I can retrieve it from the files of the HP Lunatics...
What do you think? Do you think it has a future? Do you LoTR people out there think it might possibly be readable, supposing I can write it? (Leaving out my writing talents for the moment) Is there a readership out there for non-male LoTR slash?
