mousme: A view of a woman's legs from behind, wearing knee-high rainbow socks. The rest of the picture is black and white. (until we meet again)
[livejournal.com profile] wolflady26 has posted this entry about "paying it forward" in her LiveJournal.

[livejournal.com profile] miseri, this bit is the beginning of how I intend to repay you for your incredibly kind, generous and selfless gift.

:)

Oh, and also: check your email if you haven't already.

Have been trying to listen to phone posts, but I get stoopid error messages whever I try.

"Internet Explorer doesn't know how to handle the type of file you have selected."

WTF? Internet Explorer is only the most widely-used browser out there! How the *bleep* does it not "know how to handle" a simple .ogg file?

I assume, since the LiveJournal people chose Vorbis or whatever it's called, that IE should be able to handle it. So, it must be a Mac thing. I lurve my iBook, but sometimes it just sucks when the rest of the known universe functions only with PCs.

Further perusal of the FAQs led me to think that I might have to download an application to help me. Fine. I download the application.

Nada.

I try downloading the file onto my computer and then opening it. What happens then? It opens as a text file full of gibberish.

I've tried this thing six ways till Sunday, and no dice.

So, could a nice, Mac-enabled, computer-proficient person out there help me out? I actually would like to hear these things. :P

For the love of God (or whatever you hold holy), if you're going to put up a link in your journal, don't put a link that automatically begins a download!

Some of us have slow connections. Some of us don't WANT the freaking dowload!

*stalks off muttering imprecations at the universe in general*

Something about the phrase "Middle-aged Latvian Walrus" still makes me crack up.

If you don't know what I'm talking about, ask [livejournal.com profile] sorceror.
