mousme: A view of a woman's legs from behind, wearing knee-high rainbow socks. The rest of the picture is black and white. (No!)
Am staying home today, because now that I'm free-lance I can slack off if I want to. Sort of. Actually, it's 'cause I'm feeling kinda sick, although better now that I've rested and am no longer in the ulcer-producing presence of the Paternal Unit.

Repeat to self: he really means well, he really means well...

Will have to work my proverbial arse off to catch up next week, but what can you do? I figure better one day to recover than a week after puking blood, right? Don't want a repeat performance of January, no siree Bob.

The problem? I'm kinda bored. I realised I'm missing a novel in the Katharine Kerr series that [livejournal.com profile] curtana so generously gave me a while back, the one right before the last one, which means I have to wait until I have money to finish the series. *grr* *frustration* I was looking forward to spending the afternoon reading those last two books.

I *do* have a $5 gift certificate from Indigo Books, which means I'd only have to pay two or three dollars for the book, but I still shouldn't be spending money at all. Yesterday I was *very* bad and bought myself a purple pen (my other one developed a fatal leak and I had to throw it out) as well as a soft ice cream cone. Total: $4.70 that I shouldn't really have spent.

*sigh*

When did my life become so pathetic that I have to worry about amounts less than $5?

I think I'll go hunt down the last posts to Bluebook and post one of my own. Then if I still feel like chewing off my own fingertips, I may go splurge on that book after all.

That means I'm going to get dressed and head on over to Chapters to get my book. Bad Phnee.

Oh well. Cheaper than a movie I guess. :)
