I like her even more now than I did four hours ago.
She may be coming up on the weekend of July 1st. *bounce*
Saw April and Anik today, along with their friends Keith and Nina who were visiting from Springfield, Massachussets, and who are v. cool people.
Went to the Tam-Tams on Mount Royal together. For those of you not from Montreal, the Tam-Tams take place every Sunday in summer in the great big park on Mount Royal: throngs of people gather along with drums and various other percussive instruments (bongo drums and tambourines, mostly) and set up a beat together and jam all afternoon long in the sun on the grass.
It's quite the experience, as you have all the energy of hundreds of people drumming and dancing and talking and laughing, and it can be a lot of fun if you're in the right mind space.
We, of course, went there to swordfight, and we were well rewarded, as there was a group pitching battle higher up on the mountain. April did some training with us, then waded into the fray and kicked some serious ass, and then we joined her and attempted not to get killed while she kicked some serious ass.
There was a moment of concern when a truly nimble girl with a polearm nailed poor April in the head with the haft of her weapon (the non-padded part), but April is a very resilient sort, luckily, and was able to continue, although she had an alarming welt over her right eye by the time I left.
I rushed home, as I had a phone date with Abi, around 4:30.
